Golden Maple Leaf Award

FOR ACHIEVEMENT AND INNOVATION

Purpose of the Award:

To recognize outstanding achievement of individuals, groups or companies in supporting and advancing the maple syrup industry at the North American or International levels.

Theme of the Award:

Achievement and/or innovation of significant benefit to the North American and/or International Maple Syrup Industry. Areas of proficiency can be marketing, communication, operations, sales, distribution, new products, new production processes, new services, education, sustainability and other activities related to pure maple syrup and maple products.

Frequency:

The Golden Maple Leaf Award is given out every year at the International Maple Syrup Institute Annual General Meeting.

The International Maple Syrup Institute is proud to recognize Centre ACER as the recipient of the 2026 Golden Maple Leaf Award.

This award recognizes Centre ACER's outstanding leadership and contributions to the maple industry, particularly its research on defoamer residues in maple syrup and its support of efforts to advance the international recognition of maple syrup through the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

Through its commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration, Centre ACER continues to play a vital role in strengthening the maple sector and supporting producers across North America and beyond.

The award was accepted on behalf of Centre ACER by Merilie Gagnon, Geneviève Clermont, Nathalie Martin, and Luc Lagacé.
